General Information

  • SERVICES ON THE FAIR GROUNDS

    The Alberni District Fall Fair has tried to make our visitors as comfortable as possible during their stay at the fair grounds.

    • ATM

      An ATM machine can be located just inside the door to our office and Photography/Amateur Art display.

    • CAMPING

      Un-serviced camping is available on either side of the horse rings. Portable toilets and garbage cans have been set up for your convenience.

    • EMERGENCY RESPONSE

      An Emergency Response plan is in place should it become necessary to evacuate an area of the fair. You will be directed to the nearest exit of the building or area and in some cases directed to a central spot to meet up with family and friends.

    • FIRST AID

      Qualified personal are on site during the 4 days of the fair, to care for any first aid needs that may arise. See map of grounds for location.

  • GATES

    - The fair gates are located at:

    • Main Gate - Hollywood Street and Glenwood parking lot.

    • South East Gate – located near the Multiplex.

    • Livestock Gate – used for livestock competitors, all vehicles must have a parking permit to enter.

  • ADMISSION CHARGES

    • General Admittance - $9.00
    • Children 12 and under - $3.00
    • Youth 13 to 18 and Seniors (65 +) - $6.00
    • First Day – General Admittance - $3.00 Children 7 to 12 and Seniors - free
    • Day Family Pass (2 adults & 2 children) - $25.00
    • 3 Day Pre-Sold Pass - $20.00 Available only at the Fair Office after Aug 15th

  • INFORMATION

    An Information Booth has been set up for the convience of our visitors in the main thorough fair. Manned volunteers are available during fair hours to answer questions and direct our visitors to the various sites.

  • OPENING AND CLOSING

    • The fair opens for the public on: Thursday September 9, 2010 from 5pm to 11pm
    • Barns close at 9pm
    • Buildings close at 10pm
    • Midway closes at 11pm

    • Friday September 10, 2010 from 1pm to 11pm
    • Midway begins at 3:30pm
    • Barns close at 9pm
    • Buildings close at 10pm
    • Midway closes at 11pm

    • Saturday September 11, 2010 from 8am to 11pm
    • Buildings open at noon
    • Midway begins at 12:30
    • Barns close at 9pm
    • Buildings close at 10pm
    • Midway closes at 11pm

    • Sunday September 12, 2010 from 8am To 5pm
    • Buildings open at noon
    • Midway opens at noon
    • BARNS ARE CLOSED ALL DAY
    • Buildings close at 3pm
    • Car & $1000 Bill draw at 5pm
    • Gates close at 5pm

  • PARKING - Free parking.

    Parking is available at Glenwood parking lot, Multiplex and NIC parking lots. Parking for livestock exhibitors with livestock trailers is near the horse rings, please use the livestock gate.

  • SECURITY

    Security is provided on the fair grounds from Wednesday September 8, 2010 until after the fair. The fair will not be held responsible for any loss or damage by fire theft or otherwise. Exhibitors are responsible for their own insurance coverage.
