Fall Fair Parade Rules & Regulations |
- All entries must be decorated in good taste.
- All entries competing for prizes must be entered on the official entry form and
must be accompanied by publicity information.
- All entries must be registered.
- One classification may be entered by one person or group.
- No soliciting entries will be allowed.
- All parade participants are forbidden from throwing candy and/or other items.
- Any units advocating, opposing or depicting any political or social issues
are subject to the approval of the Parade committee. The Parade
Marshal's decision is final.
- Position numbers will be given out at the corner of Anderson Avenue and Burde St.
starting at 8:30am Saturday September 11th, 2010.
- Entrants shall be responsible for removing their floats and other entries after
the parade, subject to the direction of the Police and/or communication/security staff.
- All animal entries must be accompanied by their own clean-up unit.
- Children must be supervised at all times, by an adult(s) for the duration of the Parade.
- >Entries will be judged in the category you choose on your entry form. If you do not
choose a category, or have trouble deciding contact the Parade marshal or your entry will
not be judged. You must be at the staging area by 9:30am to be included in the judging.
- Cars will only be supplied to invited guests of the Parade Committee.
- Vehicles must follow a straight course in a cautious and safe manner.
There shall be no quick starts, stops or peeling rubber. No swerving
back and forth and no reckless driving of any kind. With the
exception of demonstration units with prior approval from the Parade
Marshal. Traffic citations may be issued by the R.C.M.P. for violations
of any Municipal, Provincial or Federal Statues or Regulations.

- No person shall ride on the hood, roof, trunk, or door frames of vehicles.
- Persons who are walking should hand items that have been approved for distribution,
to spectators. Persons distributing such materials must walk along side their own unit
and not intrude upon other unit's activities or presentation space.
- No jumping on and off of vehicles.
- Any unit, which has music (live or recorded), must set the volume at a reasonable
level so they do not intrude on other unit's presentations space. Any parade official
may request the volume to be lower if they deem it too loud.
- All units should leave appropriate space between themselves and the next unit (2 car lengths);
neither should spacing be too large (over 3 car lengths).
- Parade units must proceed past the end of the parade route before stopping and unloading.
- Anyone with alcohol at the parade staging area will have his or her entire unit removed from
the lineup immediately.
- Any unit, whose participants, argue with, use foul language or refuse to do what a parade
official asks, will be removed from the line-up immediately.
- All vehicles must be in good mechanical condition and properly serviced prior to the parade.
Special attention must be paid to cooling systems, exhaust systems, brakes, steering and tires. All units must carry a fire extinguisher.
- The ADFF reserves the right to deny approval of parades or specific units, which have
violated these regulations.
- The ADFF Board of Directors had the right to make modifications to any rules and regulations,
as they deem necessary for the safety and viewing enjoyment of the spectators.
